Electoral bond is not a scam ?

 

If we go back to the history in 1947 first election of India all parties in India knew that the election was expensive  because the political party needed money to do advertising sabhas to pay for their food travel and other expenses where we can get this money will the answer is a simple donation. 

That’s why after the 1947 election Congress passed one rule by this rule any person organization or company could donate to any political party for personal donations there was no cap but for donations from organizations and companies, there was a cab, and company could only donate 5% of their net profits later this number was increased to 7.5%. After some time government found that there was a lot of Black Money held by politicians and political parties because of this role. So the government passed one more role which said that if the donation is more than 20000 rupees then the person’s records should be taken by a political party and passed to the government like a modern-day KYC. But political parties also found a way around it. They started taking donations of crores and converting them into small bases like 1817 1851 1950 extra to avoid taking the KYC from the donor. And that’s what has been going on since Independence in 2019. 

 

In 2019 government came up with a new idea, electoral bonds. The ruling government came up with the idea which is electoral Bond. By using electoral Bonds they wanted to track the transaction between Donor to the political party. So that there is no if and all transaction everything will be clear. For that, they introduced electoral Bonds and SBI was the entity that would be issued these bonds. But not all branches of these will do the showing of the world only the specific branches of the SBI were allowed to issue electoral Bond. the idea behind the electoral Bond was to make donations transparent and constitutional but at the same time keep donors anonymous. That’s why SBI didn’t include serial numbers in the electoral bonds so that they cannot track who purchased the bonds and which political party got the bond by comparing serial numbers. 

 

But there was a catch 

 

Imagine if RBI prints the money without the serial number what will happen, The criminal will start duplicating money and circulating black money in the market or you can say proper money. That’s why included the serial number on the electoral Bond also but these numbers for secret and weren’t visible to the naked eye, only the investigator found that when we reflect irras on the electoral Bond then only it reveals a serial number of the bond. That concluded that it has data on the bonds which serial number Bond was first by which entity or person and donated to the which party. 

 

After some beating around the Bose Supreme Court of India stepped in and told SBI to release that data publicly because it’s not constitutional every voter has the right to know how political parties are getting money and from which person or entity they are getting money, but the SBI was having the argument over the right to privacy and that’s right because less taken a example if someone donates 1000 crore to the XYZ political party and opposition party came in the power then in that case if the opposition party nose that someone donated crore to the XYZ party then they can target that person so because of this right to privacy was essential. 

But the Supreme Court of India overruled and toll is where to release data, when the data from the is there released the numbers were astonishing. 

57% of the donation was made to the ruling party BJP, and that’s not a surprise. Is the target of the BJP over the donation number and donors? Had an investigation going on them but was the purchased or donated electoral bonds the investigation was relaxed and that’s 100% unconstitutional. 

 

But if we look into the history, there was one case in 1950 where Tata Steel was accused by one of its shareholders for donating money to the Congress Party, and Tata Steel claimed in the court that my helping the Congress party get favors from them favors like help in the land acquisition help in the getting license help in the starting new company, etc and Congress was guilty. 

 

So this favor thing has been happening for a long time, it was happening in the past it is happening now, and no matter how Titan we rule it will happen in the future, so best on these things we cannot accuse BJP of doing electoral bonds scam, because the system only that leaders are changed, and that’s why I think electoral bonds are not a scam, it is just old system introduced in the new words rest of the things are same.
