What is Apple Intelligence?

Apple Intelligence is Apple’s new artificial intelligence platform that combines the power of generative AI models with personal context to deliver helpful and relevant intelligence on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It was announced at WWDC 2024 and will be available with iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia.

Key Features of Apple Intelligence

Privacy and Security

Apple emphasizes privacy with Apple Intelligence, which runs most of its processing on-device. For more complex requests, it uses Private Cloud Compute, which extends the privacy and security of Apple devices into the cloud using dedicated Apple silicon servers. Independent experts can inspect the code running on these servers to verify privacy.

Availability

Apple Intelligence will be available on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad and Mac models with M1 chip and later, starting with the U.S. market and expanding to other regions. It will be part of the iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia updates
